무교의 정신Spirit of Shamanism

 

  무교의 정신은 모든 사물은 영혼을 가지고 있으며 인간과 함께 살아간다고 생각한다. 그러기에 인간은 자신의 판단으로 세계를 개조할 권리를 가지고 있지 않다.

 

  만물은 살아있는 것이고 그 속에 살아 있지 않는 것이 없다. 살아 있지 않는 것들도 생명의 힘인 기(氣)를 가지고 있다고 믿는다. 무교의 사상은 생명에 대한 존중과 생물이든 무생물이든 마치 인간처럼 대하라는 사상을 가지고 있기에 모든 사물을 존중하기 위하여 신격을 부여했다. 심지어 자연현상까지도 생명의 기운을 가졌다고 생각하여 모든 물체에 신격을 부여하여 기원하였기에 무당을 萬神이라 부르기도 한다.

 

 세상을 이루는 모든 사물이 그것이 생물이든 무생물이든 영혼을 가지고 있다는 개념은 선한 영과 악한 영이 공존하는 샤머니즘의 세계관으로 이어지고 그 영적인 존재들이 인간의 일에 개입할 수 있다는 믿음으로 이어진다.

여기서 무교는 인간과 자연이 하나라는 단일성 원칙이고, 또 하나는 세계의 원초적인 속성인 조화의 원칙으로 무교의 정신인 生生之生이다.

 

  생생지생은 상생과 달리 조화를 가지고 있다. 상생은 두 집단만 합의하에 만족하면 된다. 하지만 무교의 정신인 생생지생은 두 집단의 합의가 그 합의에 참여하지 않은 제 3의 집단도 함께 만족할 수 있는 조화의 원칙이다.

생생지생은 높고 낮음, 빈곤과 부유, 잘나고 못나고 등 사회적 신분을 넘어 인간으로서 존재가치는 동일하다는 정신이다.

That is, all nature is alive and there is nothing in it that is not alive. It is believed that even inanimate objects have energy, or life force. The ideology of shamanism includes respect for life and the idea of treating living and non-living things like humans.

Here, Shamanism is the principle of unity that humans and nature are one, and the other is the principle of harmony, which is the fundamental attribute of the world. Humans do not have the right to change the world with their own judgment. Because all nature is a living being, there are many taboos in Shamanism. This is to warn humans against harming the energy of life in an object, even if it is unintentional.
